Hey Paul
Right, that's all 5 of the short tales listened to, with 'Tattoo' next (I've already listened to 'Closet Treats') and I really liked it. Getting the contract from the internet through a torrent site to preserve anonymity is a nice idea, but then again, PirateBay got raided and closed, didn't it?
Ha, maybe somebody in government saw some irregular activity and decided to try and flush out the Breakers?
Well done man - looking forward to more from you.
I think the Breakers do exist, or am I just falling into line with the conspiracy theorists?

(By the way: you, Mr Bible, Phil Rossi and the usual suspects - the FDO, JC, Seth, Mur - have given me the confidence to start recording some of my material.)
P.S. - and thanks for the words about a mic.

Hey Paul
Just finished listening to number 3 in the 'Fiends' collection - short but creepy!
Yeah, I think you could develop this character a lot. Even the briefest of glimpses the reader gets of the 'thing' in the morgue gives a sense that there is much more.

Hey Paul
Well, I've just gone and listened to the 2nd short story in the 'Fiends' collection and I really like it.
In fact, so far, this is my favourite - of course that all may change when I listen to more! Yeah, old houses with dark, dank basements and dusty attics - they have character and style, as well as providing an overactive imagination with plenty of scope for creating horror stories! And closets, cupboards, creaky floorboards, the wind whistling through the cracks, long grass in the back garden, a ramshackle outhouse, mysterious figures glimpsed behind grimy windows - oh, do I need to go on?
Modern houses don't have any character! Oh, and my house is 80 years old - not as old as The Victorian but better than the new kind!
I read a book about the drowning of Galveston and it was a bad storm. The city might very well have went on to bigger things if the storm had not occurred.
Excellent story sir.

Hi Paul,
I'm finally getting around to listening to the 'Fiends' collection and 'Momma' is my first one! Just finished and thought I would drop you a few lines! It's deliciously creepy and the killer is one bad mofo, as well as having serious hang-ups. If he's not careful, then the 'politically correct' and 'do-gooders' who purport to have our best interests at heart will string him up!
And I have to say that it is a good story. I got the feeling that the 'person of colour' could quite possibly be classified as a missing person pretty soon! That was when I laughed - I never gave any consideration to that line before. You're correct though - we are all persons of colour!
Well done sir.

If you didn't hear over twitter or Facebook, Tattoo has been nominated for a Parsec Award. I don't know if I'll make the short list, but I'm very honored, and damned excited. This is the first step in my plan to thwart Scott Sigler's World Domination by taking as many souls as possible.
Thank all of you for submitting me. The response must have been pretty amazing to get through the first phase this fast, and I can only say: YOU ROCK! Thank you again. Thank you thank you thank you thank you...

The FiendMaster has lost his mind. Or something. Regardless of what I said in my essay "Figuring The Price," I have decided to put the 4 short stories-- Momma, The Ghosts of 1900, Canvas, and Breakers-- up on Smashwords.com FOR FREE! This means you can go to Smashwords.com and check out any of the stories.
Now, why am I telling you this? Well, because I need some help from you. I need you to go view it, download, read it again, and then comment and rate it. I need this help because I'm trying to get started on the whole writing career thing as a "paying" gig. I'm giving away the Fiends Collection short stories for free as the gateway drug to the rest of my work.
In the next week or two, Tattoo will be going up on Smashwords.com FOR SALE! For $.99, you'll be able to get your paws on the never released digital version of Tattoo with the original artwork. At that point, I'll need your help again. I'm not expecting any of my listeners to purchase any copies of my work, especially not those that have donated. But if you liked the podcast version, please go to Smashwords.com, and rate any and all of the stories. Your comments will help readers find my work and hopefully that will ultimately lead to sales for Tattoo once it goes live.
Thank you for your attention and any help you might give me. As always, I know I am the luckiest man in the world to have so many great fans.

Because of you, the listener, I have been nominated for a parsec award.
The Parsec committee wants up to 30 minutes of excerpts to peruse for the nomination. Therefore, I would like you great and wonderful fiendlings to suggest some excerpts from the book to include.
I'll post the excerpt list in this topic that I'm going to use:
- The FiendMaster Prologue
- Episode 1-- Description of how Jackson found the fiendmaster cast and the first descriptions of the Tattoo murder photos

That's right, Fiendlings. Want your very own, autographed, signed and numbered copy of Tattoo? Well, join the auction at theboomeffect.org and bid on it. Please check out theboomeffect.org for information about this great cause. I am proud to be part of it and can't wait to sign and personalize number "1" of only four copies printed. Let me know if you want additional details or have questions about the item in question.
NOTE:
I cannot sell "Tattoo" until I get new cover art for the book. So if you're willing to, um, take some pictures of tattoos or do some artwork for me, I could actually start selling this puppy.
Cheers, and good luck at the auction!

Closet Treats will be released on Podiobooks.com this Friday. So if you want to get the book without the intro babble, this is the place to go. I'm going to try like hell to keep the two in synch, although it may take a day or two for the latest episode to show up there. But tell your fellow fiendlings: Closet Treats is the FOR REALEST!
